Choice Blog 4...

Italy is a country known for its artwork, beautiful cities, and of course, it's gourmet food.  It's a place I've wanted to visit for years now, and hopefully, if all goes according to plan, my family and I will get to go next summer!
Italy has so much to offer.  It's rich history provides thousands of cities, museums, and architecture for tourists to explore.  For starters, there's the Vatican, also known as the Holy See, which is located within the city of Rome. Since my family is Catholic, I would love to be able to walk inside the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica, rumoured to be two of the most beautiful churches in the world.  Also in Rome is the Colosseum, a must-see destination. This famous venue for gladiator battles is the most common symbol for the city of Rome.

Then, of course there's Venice, known for it's unique waterways and gondola rides. This sanctuary on a lagoon is guaranteed to take your breath away.  It's one of the most visited cities in Italy, known for being romantic and full of attractions. If you want to be inspired by beautiful scenery, the rolling hills of Tuscany are the perfect place to go.  While enjoying the landscape, you can go hiking on a mountain path or choose to enjoy some extraordinary cusine and wine.

Honestly, there are so many places to see that it'd be impossible to get to them all.  Whether you come in search of fine art, amazing food, tourist attractions, the beautiful ocean coasts and islands, or even just to learn the language, Italy has something to offer everyone. I've never traveled outside of the United States and hope to someday travel all across the world.
My first destination...Italy.
