Current event 11/1

Recently, Georgia College and State University was shut down. There was a bomb threat issued only hours ago. One significance of this is that this is one of the only time the whole campus needed to be shut down, instead of a particular building. Students fled to the First Baptist Church located south of campus seeking refuge. The entire campus was cleared at about 4:20 this afternoon. Many people believe this event to be similar to the bomb threat at Calico Rock elementary school -- a threat and nothing more. According to the principal of the school, "any threat is taken seriously, even though 99 percent of these calls are false."
