Sugar gliders are remarkable, nocturnal marsupials. They can glide up to 150 ft. from high vantage points and are excellent climbers. Sugar gliders are elites at the top of the squirrel family's hierarchy. Never before has such exotics animals been allowed in Georgia until recently when they were declared as legal pets. Literally, no pet can match the exotic nature and entertainment factor sugar gliders can provide. They can live for up to 20 years, therefore they can become lifelong companions to help ease any hardships. They can birth up to 4 young at one time and keep them well fed through different milk glands in her pouch. Their usual diets consist of 25% calcium, live or canned insects, nectar, fruits, vegetables, and pellets. Many homeowners however dislike sugar gliders because of their reputation to throw their feces and spray their urine outside of their cages. Sugar gliders are amazing pets and I highly recommend them to all people who are committed to such an endeavor.
