Horror
Movies
The
thrilling. The supernatural. The monsters and the unreal. All playing with your
mind. Horror movies have become one of the most popular types of movies in pop
culture today. Traditions are able to keep through because of remakes. Movies
like Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street keep the classics
alive. As time has progressed so has the ideas behind horror movies. Why do we like scary movies so much? Nobody
would like situations in these movies to happen to them but yet we come back to
watch more.
The
rush of intense scenes keeps us craving for more. The thrill of no knowing what
will happen next keeps viewers on edge. Especially being teenagers, that
excitement that pulls us to keep watching, is what we seek to take us away from
all the stress of school. Personally, getting with my friends and hiding behind
pillows while watching the latest scary movie starts off terrifying but then
ends up making us want more!
Yes
it is true that a lot people do not like scary movies because they simply think
it is “too scary.” Scary movies utilize the dramatic pauses and built up music
to create suspense that can throw you off. Unexpected noises or appearances are
a major factor in scaring the viewers. Usually horror movies are in pure fun,
but can cause great terror for some people. All in all, scary movies aren’t for
the faint of heart but can bring a surprising adventure along with it.
