Recently there was an act of bravery by a 12 year old boy who saved his mother early this morning. There are many home invasions but thankfully this young child helped stop the invasion and capture one of the robbers. Kenyatta Cosby went into an attic crawl-space and called the police while his mother stalled for time below. Just after midnight, three armed men broke in Shereka Austin's house and asked her for money. Under such a situation where she might die, she gave the robbers the $500 she was saving for utility bills. Under the cover of darkness, these horrible invaders duct taped Shereka, beat her, and threatened to kill her. Atlanta police quickly arrived on the scene and the robbers fled leaving an assault rifle, most of their cash, and and a pistol. One of the getaway cars were captured but the three gunman have not been caught or sighted yet. The event matters because it shows that even in the suburbs of Georgia there are children who are resourceful enough to stop horrible acts like home invasions. This give hope to me that there are brave kids out there who can stand up for themselves and their families and retaliate to put an end to inexcusable actions that some people think they can just do. The kind of people who invaded Kenyatta's home can become killers that kill people and leave their remains in an abandoned home. Kenyatta helped stop and warn such behavior from escalating or atleast keep some heat on the invaders. The fiends who left human remains in the house may have also been home invaders looking for money, but didn't get what they were looking for. Home invasions are horrible and Kenyatta has saved multiple homes that could have been invaded and people from harm by alerting the police in such a dangerous situation. Kenyatta is a local hero who saved his family.
